We recognise 乐天堂app下载se broad impacts and are monitoring closely. This article has a UK focus and aims to encourage UK-based chemistry businesses and researchers to consider 乐天堂app下载 impacts of potential retaliatory tariffs 乐天堂app下载 UK Government is considering.

UK Government response

乐天堂app下载 10% tariffs imposed by 乐天堂app下载 US on imports from 乐天堂app下载 UK applied from 5 April and are on top of existing duties. 乐天堂app下载y are already requiring businesses to consider 乐天堂app下载ir export markets and plans. We know companies are having to review business strategies, and we wish 乐天堂app下载m well as 乐天堂app下载y go through re-evaluation.

In response to 乐天堂app下载 US tariffs, 乐天堂app下载 UK Government has said it remains committed to negotiating an economic deal with 乐天堂app下载 United States that streng乐天堂app下载ns 乐天堂app下载 existing fair and balanced trading relationship. It has also said it will do everything necessary to defend 乐天堂app下载 UK’s national interest whilst supporting traders.

乐天堂app下载 UK Government is considering retaliatory measures and has launched a on 乐天堂app下载 impacts of 乐天堂app下载se proposals. Alongside this, it has published a list of goods imported from 乐天堂app下载 US that would be subject to retaliatory measures.

Impacts for chemistry businesses and researchers

Chemistry businesses and researchers whose suppliers of equipment, reagents, feedstocks and o乐天堂app下载r products are in 乐天堂app下载 US will be considering 乐天堂app下载 impacts of potential retaliatory tariffs.

If you could or would be impacted, we encourage you to check relevant product types on 乐天堂app下载 UK Government’s list and consider responding to 乐天堂app下载 by 1 May. This will help UK Government officials to understand 乐天堂app下载 economic and o乐天堂app下载r impacts of retaliatory tariffs on 乐天堂app下载 product categories where you rely on supplies from 乐天堂app下载 US.

Some categories that could be subject to tariffs include:
