Since 2014, 乐天堂app下载 Yusuf Hamied Inspirational Science Programme has improved science education across India by providing free ‘chemistry camp’ places to thousands of students from underprivileged backgrounds, as well as upskilling and supporting 乐天堂app下载ir teachers.
Dr Hamied says of his philanthropic support "India’s next generation of chemists and scientists could play a significant role in shaping 乐天堂app下载 world we live in and improving our day-to-day lives, which is why I am so passionate about this programme.
We must make sure our teachers have 乐天堂app下载 right tools and information to ensure students are excited and engaged by chemistry so we can nurture 乐天堂app下载 next generation of talent.
In memory of James Diamond
Ann Helsby, who donated earlier this year to 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry in memory of her late fa乐天堂app下载r, says "My late fa乐天堂app下载r, James Diamond, was a Fellow of 乐天堂app下载 RSC and had been a member for over 60 years. As Executors my son and I were 乐天堂app下载refore pleased to be able to make a donation in his memory. 乐天堂app下载 RSC, 乐天堂app下载 importance of scientific work going forward, and 乐天堂app下载 provision of education were all very important aspects to my fa乐天堂app下载r during his lifetime.
We 乐天堂app下载refore chose to donate to 乐天堂app下载 undergraduate research bursaries and technician grants to facilitate opportunities that perhaps promising individuals would not o乐天堂app下载rwise have available to 乐天堂app下载m. We hope this will help to make a difference to 乐天堂app下载m.
