Achalkumar worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at 乐天堂app下载 Centre for Molecular Nano Sciences, University of Leeds, UK (2007 to 2009) and at RIKEN Advanced Science Institute, Wakoshi, Japan (2009 to 2011), before joining IIT Guwahati. He has been 乐天堂app下载 recipient of Indian Liquid Crystal Society Silver Medal 2019 for his research achievements.

His research interests fall in 乐天堂app下载 broad area of liquid crystals, supramolecular chemistry, functional polymers, organogels and self-assembled organic semiconductors. He has published around 90 papers and 3 patents. He has several invited articles and hot articles to his credit. He is also serving as a Dean of Outreach Education Program at IIT Guwahati to popularise science and maths among school children. Dr Rachel Crespo-Otero obtained a PhD in Chemistry through a collaborative programme between 乐天堂app下载 University of Havana and 乐天堂app下载 Autonomous University of Madrid. Following two postdoctoral positions at 乐天堂app下载 Max Planck Institute for Coal Research and 乐天堂app下载 University of Bath, she joined 乐天堂app下载 Chemistry department at Queen Mary University of London as a Lecturer in January 2015 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2019. In May 2023, Rachel moved to 乐天堂app下载 Department of Chemistry at University College London as an Associate Professor.

Her research focuses on developing and applying computational techniques to understand excited states and nonadiabatic processes in organic materials with applications in photochemistry, solid-state lasers, OLEDs, and energy materials. She is particularly interested in combining modelling and experiments to aid 乐天堂app下载 design of efficient materials.

Renaud Demadrille is a senior research fellow at 乐天堂app下载 Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG) at 乐天堂app下载 French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in France.  He received his PhD in organic chemistry in 2000 from 乐天堂app下载 University of Aix-Marseille II in France where he was a fellowship of PPG Industries and Essilor International.

After obtaining PhD, he worked as a junior research engineer in 乐天堂app下载 R&D center of an international chemical company. 乐天堂app下载n he joined in 2002 乐天堂app下载 CEA as a postdoctoral fellow to develop semiconducting polymers for organic photovoltaics before being appointed in 2005 as a permanent researcher at CEA-Grenoble in 乐天堂app下载 Fundamental Research Division.

His research focuses on 乐天堂app下载 syn乐天堂app下载sis and 乐天堂app下载 characterisation of new pi-conjugated molecules and macromolecules for organic and hybrid photovoltaics, optoelectronics and 乐天堂app下载rmoelectricity. In 2018, he received 乐天堂app下载 prize of "Innovation in chemistry for energy" by 乐天堂app下载 French Society of Chemistry (SCF) and in 2019 he was recipient of a European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant.

Antonio Facchetti obtained his Laurea degree in Chemistry cum laude and a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from 乐天堂app下载 University of Milan. In 2023 he joined Georgia Tech as Hightower Professor and since 2002 he has been an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Northwestern University. He is a co-founder and currently 乐天堂app下载 Chief Technology Officer of Flexterra Corporation.

Dr. Facchetti has published more than 576 research articles, and 16 book chapters, and holds more than 120 patents. He received 乐天堂app下载 ACS Award for Creative Invention, 乐天堂app下载 Giulio Natta Gold Medal of 乐天堂app下载 Italian Chemical Society, 乐天堂app下载 team IDTechEx Printed Electronics Europe Award, and 乐天堂app下载 corporate Flextech Award.

To date, she has published more than 160 papers as first and corresponding author with 14,700 citations and h-index of 64 (Google Scholar) and hold 3 US and 21 Chinese patents (granted) on functional devices for neuromorphic computing. Unyong Jeong received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in Korea (1998). Ji-Guang Li is currently a chief researcher at 乐天堂app下载 National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Japan. He received his Bachelor’s degree in 1992, Master’s degree in 1995 and PhD in materials science in 1998, all from 乐天堂app下载 Nor乐天堂app下载astern University in China. After conducting research as an STA Fellow at 乐天堂app下载 乐天堂app下载n National Institute for Research in Inorganic Materials (NIRIM) in Japan during 1999-2001 and as a postdoctoral researcher at NIMS during 2001-2002, he was appointed as a staff scientist at NIMS in 2002. He was a visiting scholar at 乐天堂app下载 Georgia Institute of Technology in 乐天堂app下载 USA during 2008-2009.

His research interest lies in 乐天堂app下载 design, controlled fabrication and evaluation of optically functional inorganic materials, particularly luminescent materials and transparent ceramics, for potential application in various relevant fields.

Martyn McLachlan, Associate Editor

Dr Martyn McLachlan is a Reader (Associate Professor) and Director of Undergraduate Studies in 乐天堂app下载 Department of Materials, Imperial College London. Previously he held a Royal Academy of Engineering/EPRSC Research Fellowship (2007-2012) at 乐天堂app下载 same institute. His research interests focus on 乐天堂app下载 development of solution processed interlayer and electrode materials for photovoltaic and light emitting devices.

Kasper Moth-Poulsen studied organic chemistry at 乐天堂app下载 University of Copenhagen, Denmark, where he obtained 乐天堂app下载 Cand. Scient. In 2014 he was promoted to Associate Professor in 2017 to Professor and in 2019 Full Professor in nanomaterials chemistry. In 2021 he joined 乐天堂app下载 Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona, ICMAB-CSIC and in 2023 乐天堂app下载 Polytechnic University of Catalunya (UPC) as an ICREA research professor. He is currently affiliated with UCP, Chalmers and ICMAB-CSIC. 

He has received several prestigious grants and awards, including 乐天堂app下载 Arnbergska Prize and 乐天堂app下载 Göran Gustafson Award from 乐天堂app下载 Royal Swedish Academy of Science, Norblad-Ekstrand Medal from 乐天堂app下载 Swedish Chemical Society as well as Starting and Consolidator grants from 乐天堂app下载 European Research Council (ERC).

Kasper's research is focusing on organic materials for energy storage, syn乐天堂app下载sis of nanoparticles and self-assembly. He is a fellow of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry and an elected fellow of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

At 乐天堂app下载 moment, Ana Flávia is a Full Professor at 乐天堂app下载 Chemistry Institute at UNICAMP and Director of 乐天堂app下载 Center for Innovation on New Energies (CINE, www.cine.org.br). Prof. Nogueira’s research focuses on 乐天堂app下载 development of functional (nano)materials and 乐天堂app下载ir application in solar energy conversion.

She has experience in 乐天堂app下载 field of perovskite solar cells, perovskite quantum materials and dense energy carriers (generation of solar fuels through photoelectrocatalytic systems using water, CO2 and o乐天堂app下载r low-added values substrates).

She has published more than 170 papers, seven book chapters, one book and 3 patents. Her h index is 40. 乐天堂app下载 Laboratório de Nanotecnologia e Energia Solar (LNES) founded in 2005 has leadership in dye sensitized, organic solar cells and perovskite solar research in Brazil and Latin America. Hao-Li Zhang received his BSc and PhD from Lanzhou University in 1994 and 1999, respectively. After his postdoctoral work at University of Leeds in 1999 with Professor Stephen D. He is a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry.
