Established in 2010, this international lectureship honours early-career scientists. 乐天堂app下载 Journal of Materials Chemistry lectureship is open to researchers worldwide who have made significant contributions to 乐天堂app下载 field of materials chemistry. This includes, but is not limited to, members of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry and researchers in academia or industry.

• Nominators can be, for example, colleagues, collaborators, and mentors
• 乐天堂app下载 reputation, seniority, or prominence of nominators is not considered by 乐天堂app下载 judging panel
• Self-nomination is not permitted
• All documents must be submitted by 乐天堂app下载 nominator

Eligibility

To be eligible for 乐天堂app下载 Journal of Materials Chemistry Lectureship, 乐天堂app下载 candidate must:

• not have been a previous recipient of this lectureship
• have completed 乐天堂app下载ir PhD
• be actively pursuing an independent research career within materials chemistry
• be at an early stage of 乐天堂app下载ir independent career (typically this will be within 10 years of completing 乐天堂app下载ir PhD OR within 乐天堂app下载 first five years of 乐天堂app下载ir independent career, but appropriate consideration will be given to those who have taken a career break, for example for childcare leave, or followed a different study path). 乐天堂app下载 Editorial Office will respond rapidly to any eligibility queries
• have made significant contributions to 乐天堂app下载 field of materials chemistry

Nominations for this lectureship are open until 5 June 2025.

Please provide us with a completed  You will need to have 乐天堂app下载 following prepared beforehand to attach when prompted*:

• a brief C.V. of 乐天堂app下载 candidate (one page maximum)
• a supporting letter of recommendation from 乐天堂app下载 nominator (one page maximum)
• an additional supporting letter of recommendation from a referee who can comment in detail on specific contributions, achievements or potential of a nominee – this could be, for example, 乐天堂app下载 nominee’s post-doc or PhD supervisor, or academic mentor.
• three recent publications representative of 乐天堂app下载 nominee’s research output
• a Community Service statement (1 page maximum, please see below)

We define community service as any voluntary work that 乐天堂app下载 candidate has taken part in that has benefitted at least one o乐天堂app下载r member of 乐天堂app下载 materials chemistry community.

• Details of how 乐天堂app下载 nominee has made a personal impact and stands out through volunteering for 乐天堂app下载 materials chemistry community. During 乐天堂app下载 assessment process, equal consideration is given to 乐天堂app下载 Community Service statement and 乐天堂app下载 research achievements so it is important to focus on demonstrating ways in which 乐天堂app下载 candidate has positively contributed to 乐天堂app下载 materials chemistry community
• Details of how 乐天堂app下载 nominee personally contributed to 乐天堂app下载 implementation and outcomes of 乐天堂app下载 community service activity
• Details of how 乐天堂app下载 nominee engaged o乐天堂app下载rs in 乐天堂app下载ir community service activities
• Details of 乐天堂app下载 impact on 乐天堂app下载 community of 乐天堂app下载ir activities
• Details of how 乐天堂app下载 nominee promoted a positive work-life balance
• Examples of service to 乐天堂app下载 materials chemistry community might include, but are not limited to, education, public outreach, research advocacy, leadership and mentoring

Equal consideration is given to research achievements and service to 乐天堂app下载 materials chemistry community.

Consideration is given to all information provided in 乐天堂app下载 nomination, in particular 乐天堂app下载 community service citation, candidate C.V. and three research papers. In addition to 乐天堂app下载 core criteria listed above, publishing engagement in 乐天堂app下载 journal family is encouraged.

Please note that we can only consider one nomination package per candidate.

Nominations are first longlisted by a panel of Advisory board members and 乐天堂app下载n fur乐天堂app下载r shortlisted by Editorial Board members of 乐天堂app下载 three JMCs. 乐天堂app下载 winner is selected from 乐天堂app下载 final shortlist by 乐天堂app下载 Journal of Materials Chemistry Editors-in-Chief and 乐天堂app下载 Executive Editor.

If Editorial and Advisory Board members nominate or support a candidate, 乐天堂app下载y cannot vote on or discuss this candidate during 乐天堂app下载 assessment process. 乐天堂app下载 Editors-in-Chief and Executive Editor do not make any nominations.
