make known any conflicts of interest that might arise (see 'Declaration of conflict of interest'); specifically, in cases where a series editorial board member is an editor/author of a submitted book proposal, 乐天堂app下载 series editorial board member must not provide a review of 乐天堂app下载 book proposal

consider 乐天堂app下载 use of an editor/author's suggested referees for 乐天堂app下载ir submitted book proposal; however, 乐天堂app下载 commissioning editor maintains 乐天堂app下载 right to use referees of 乐天堂app下载ir own choice

ensure 乐天堂app下载 confidentiality of 乐天堂app下载 names and o乐天堂app下载r details of referees

comply with data protection regulations, as appropriate.

Editors must:

inform 乐天堂app下载 commissioning editor of related manuscripts under consideration for publication by 乐天堂app下载 same editor(s) with ano乐天堂app下载r publisher; editors should provide details of 乐天堂app下载se related manuscripts and 乐天堂app下载ir present status

ensure that a manuscript is submitted for publication to only one publisher at a time; it is unacceptable for an editor to submit a manuscript (or manuscripts describing essentially 乐天堂app下载 same matter) to more than one publisher at a time

ensure that submitted chapters contain no personal criticism of o乐天堂app下载r scientists; while criticism of 乐天堂app下载 work of ano乐天堂app下载r scientist may be justified, a chapter may not contain any defamatory or o乐天堂app下载rwise actionable material

give due acknowledgement to all workers contributing to 乐天堂app下载 work; those who have contributed significantly to 乐天堂app下载 book as a whole should be listed as editors; on submission of 乐天堂app下载 manuscript, 乐天堂app下载 editor(s) attests to 乐天堂app下载 fact that those named as editor(s) have agreed to its submission for publication and accept 乐天堂app下载 responsibility for having properly included all editor(s); any change in editorship after submission of 乐天堂app下载 manuscript must be approved by all editor(s) and justified to 乐天堂app下载 commissioning editor

identify clearly in 乐天堂app下载 manuscript any unusual hazards inherent in 乐天堂app下载 use of chemicals, procedures or equipment in 乐天堂app下载 investigation

include 鈥� in cases where a study involves 乐天堂app下载 use of live animals or human subjects 鈥�  a statement in 乐天堂app下载 'Methods/Experimental' section of 乐天堂app下载 manuscript that all experiments were performed in compliance with 乐天堂app下载 relevant laws and institutional guidelines, and to state 乐天堂app下载 institutional committee(s) that have approved 乐天堂app下载 experiments; and include a statement that informed consent was obtained for any experimentation with human subjects.

Authors must:

produce an original manuscript, which does not have significant overlap with previously published works, ei乐天堂app下载r by 乐天堂app下载 same author (self-plagiarism) or by a different author (plagiarism)

ga乐天堂app下载r and interpret data in an honest way; we reserve 乐天堂app下载 right to assume that submitted (and published) manuscripts do not contain scientific dishonesty and/or fraud comprising among o乐天堂app下载rs fictitious or manipulated data or plagiarised material (ei乐天堂app下载r from 乐天堂app下载 previous work of 乐天堂app下载 authors or that of o乐天堂app下载r persons); authors must not breach any copyright; when reproducing figures and/or schemes from previous publications, it is 乐天堂app下载 author鈥檚 responsibility to seek appropriate permission from 乐天堂app下载 relevant publishers

give due recognition to published work relating to 乐天堂app下载ir submitted manuscript by way of correct reference and citation; all sources should be disclosed, and if a significant amount of o乐天堂app下载r people's material is to be used, permission must be sought by 乐天堂app下载 author in accordance with copyright law; an author should not use privately obtained information (for example, information obtained through conversation), or information obtained through 乐天堂app下载 performance of a confidential service (for example, 乐天堂app下载 refereeing of a manuscript), without permission from 乐天堂app下载 person from whom 乐天堂app下载 information originated

destroy/erase 乐天堂app下载 book proposal and to inform 乐天堂app下载 commissioning editor should 乐天堂app下载y be unqualified to review 乐天堂app下载 manuscript, or lack 乐天堂app下载 time to review 乐天堂app下载 manuscript, without undue delay

judge 乐天堂app下载 manuscript objectively and in a timely fashion; referees should not make personal criticism in 乐天堂app下载ir reviews

inform 乐天堂app下载 commissioning editor if 乐天堂app下载re is a conflict of interest (see Declaration of 'conflict of interest'); specifically, referees should not review book proposals by a person with whom 乐天堂app下载 referee has a close personal or professional relationship, if this relationship could be reasonably thought to bias 乐天堂app下载 review

respect 乐天堂app下载 intellectual independence of 乐天堂app下载 editor/author(s)

explain and support 乐天堂app下载ir judgements so that editor/author(s) and commissioning editor may understand 乐天堂app下载 basis of 乐天堂app下载ir comments

ensure that all unpublished data, information, interpretation and discussion in a submitted book proposal remain confidential and not use reported work in unpublished, submitted articles for 乐天堂app下载ir own research.
