Professor Frank Roylance Smith passed away peacefully after a short illness with family members at his side on April 24, 2018, aged 86. Predeceased by parents Frank George and Sara Ida Smith. Lovingly remembered by wife Margarete (nee Bartenstein), son Arthur (Shelly), daughter Sara (Paul), grandchildren Benjamin (Andressa), Elizabeth, Joshua, Ezekiel, Russell, and Hazel; also lovingly remembered by friends, family, and former students in St John's and around 乐天堂app下载 world. 

Retired professor of Chemistry at Memorial University, and member of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry since 1964. Frank was an avid volunteer throughout his life, dedicating time to 乐天堂app下载 peace movement, music competitions, rose shows, and environmental concerns.
