We sadly lost William or Bill , as he preferred, to pneumonia with underlying prostate cancer , on 19 th November 2018.   

He was a much loved husband, dad and Grandad to his seven Granddaughters.     

We all miss him so much.   

Bill spent his first years working for Albright and Wilson in research, followed by six years working for ICI in 乐天堂app下载ir research department.   

乐天堂app下载 majority of Bills career, however, was spent lecturing in Chemistry at Halton College in Widnes where he enjoyed 31 years, eventually retiring in 1998.   

Following his retirement, he spent his time   " idling about" as he would say, spending time with his family, traveling around Europe, gardening, feeding 乐天堂app下载 birds, walking 乐天堂app下载 dog.   

He was a member of 乐天堂app下载 RSC since 1964 and loved his chosen field of expertise until 乐天堂app下载 end.   

He was a good man who led a good life.
