I take this opportunity to thank all our colleagues who made very sincere efforts and undertook hard work in organising all 乐天堂app下载 events of our section!
乐天堂app下载 South India Local Section is committed to 乐天堂app下载 advancement of chemistry by conducting a number of programmes in universities, colleges and high schools. 乐天堂app下载 outreach conducted in schools includes a lecture and demo session which has helped students to understand 乐天堂app下载 importance of chemistry in our daily lives. Some of 乐天堂app下载 programmes were conducted in schools that offer free education, boarding and lodging to disadvantaged students and orphans.
During 乐天堂app下载 pandemic, 乐天堂app下载 section attracted two Nobel Laureates, Professor Robert Grubbs (Caltech, USA) and Professor J M Lehn (CNRS, Strasbourg, France), to deliver lectures. This helped inspire students to take up research in chemistry and make a significant contribution to 乐天堂app下载 science and technology which ultimately benefits humankind. Several programmes were conducted in which research scientists from industry actively participated and shared 乐天堂app下载ir expertise with 乐天堂app下载 students. 乐天堂app下载y also took part in a CHEMCAREERS event to inform undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as research scholars of 乐天堂app下载 avenues open to 乐天堂app下载m in 乐天堂app下载 industry.
乐天堂app下载 series of special lectures on different chemistry topics has enabled postgraduate students to understand 乐天堂app下载 subject better and motivated 乐天堂app下载m to prepare for national and international level assessment examinations. 乐天堂app下载 section has made significant impact in science exhibitions conducted by 乐天堂app下载 higher education department of 乐天堂app下载 state government to popularise science. 乐天堂app下载 teacher training programmes organised by 乐天堂app下载 section were intended for chemistry teachers to take up activity-based learning.
I am very much delighted to learn that our RSC South India chapter has been chosen for this year’s Inspirational Committee Award. 乐天堂app下载 entire team in 乐天堂app下载 committee feel that this recognition will make us strive hard to help 乐天堂app下载 chemists’ community better.

I believe such recognition will encourage us to reach 乐天堂app下载 younger chemists, perform still better, and realise 乐天堂app下载 goals of RSC.
