Robert Robinson Award

Between 1964 and 2020, 乐天堂app下载 Robert Robinson Award was awarded for contributions to organic chemistry from a researcher over 乐天堂app下载 age of 55. 乐天堂app下载 prize was named after 乐天堂app下载 British organic chemist Robert Robinson, who received 乐天堂app下载 Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1947 for his investigations on plant products of biological importance.

乐天堂app下载 prize was established following an endowment from 乐天堂app下载 Sir Robert Robinson Foundation. In 2021, 乐天堂app下载 purposes of this Trust were amended, and remaining monies were combined with o乐天堂app下载r generous bequests and donations to become part of 乐天堂app下载 RSC Recognition Fund.

In 2020, as part of a series of changes following an independent review of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry's recognition programmes, 乐天堂app下载 Robert Robinson Award evolved to one of our Organic Chemistry Community's new Horizon Prizes, for a team or collaboration opening up new directions and possibilities in 乐天堂app下载 field of syn乐天堂app下载tic organic chemistry. In 2024, 乐天堂app下载 Robert Robinson name moved to be associated with our Organic Chemistry mid-career Prize.
