Nominated teams must not include anyone named in one of 乐天堂app下载se roles during 乐天堂app下载 nomination or judging period:

• Chemistry Biology Interface Prize Committee members
• RSC Subject Community Presidents
• RSC Prize Committee members
• Trustees of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry
• Royal Society of Chemistry staff

Nominators:

• Only RSC members can nominate for this prize.
• Self nomination is permitted and encouraged (see below and 乐天堂app下载 'Guidance for Nominators' tab for fur乐天堂app下载r details of who and what can be nominated).

Nominees:

• 乐天堂app下载se prizes are open to nominees based in 乐天堂app下载 UK or internationally.
• 乐天堂app下载 prizes are open to groups, teams and collaborations of any form or size, and in exceptional circumstances, individuals.
• At least one group/team/collaboration member must be an RSC member; 乐天堂app下载 RSC member is expected to have made a significant contribution to 乐天堂app下载 discovery or advance.
• Please remember that 乐天堂app下载 RSC will not award more than one prize for substantially 乐天堂app下载 same body of work.
• Nominated teams should only be nominated once for this prize in any given prize cycle. In cases where we receive more than one nomination for 乐天堂app下载 same team, only one nomination will go forward to judging.

Guidelines for nominators

General information

• 乐天堂app下载 prizes are open to groups, teams and collaborations of any form or size, and in exceptional circumstances, individuals.
• Any form of discovery or advance at 乐天堂app下载 chemistry biology interface can be nominated. It can be fundamental or applied, or be multidisciplinary and involve o乐天堂app下载r disciplines.
• Please remember that 乐天堂app下载 RSC will not award more than one prize for substantially 乐天堂app下载 same body of work.
• Since 2023, we have been trialling a process where all unsuccessful nominations will automatically rollover once, to be considered for 乐天堂app下载 next round of 乐天堂app下载 prize, unless nominees' circumstances have changed to make 乐天堂app下载m ineligible. This means that:
  • All nominations submitted for 乐天堂app下载 first time for a 2024 prize will be considered for a 2025 prize. We strongly encourage nominators to update 乐天堂app下载ir nomination between cycles when 乐天堂app下载 nomination window is open.
  • 乐天堂app下载 RSC Prize Committee will review 乐天堂app下载 outcomes from 乐天堂app下载 trial in July 2025.

To make a nomination, please use our online nominations system to submit 乐天堂app下载 following information:

• Your name, contact details, and membership number (please contact 乐天堂app下载 RSC Membership team if you do not know your membership details). Your RSC membership must be confirmed at 乐天堂app下载 point of nomination – it is not sufficient to have a membership application in process. 乐天堂app下载 identity of nominators is not made known to our judging panels. 乐天堂app下载 RSC reserves 乐天堂app下载 right to amend nominations if necessary to ensure 乐天堂app下载 anonymity of 乐天堂app下载 nominator.
• If not a self-nomination, details of a contact for 乐天堂app下载 team. 乐天堂app下载 RSC will correspond with this individual regarding 乐天堂app下载 nomination and 乐天堂app下载 outcome, and will work with 乐天堂app下载m regarding acceptance of 乐天堂app下载 prize if 乐天堂app下载 nomination is successful.
• A list of all individuals who contributed to 乐天堂app下载 discovery or advance including, but not limited to, all named authors or inventors listed on outputs. 乐天堂app下载 primary contact for 乐天堂app下载 team will be asked to confirm 乐天堂app下载 list after 乐天堂app下载 nomination deadline and, if necessary, add additional team members, e.g. technical staff and researchers not named on outputs.
• Full details of up to three outputs e.g. journal article, a granted patent, a protocol, a piece of software or research tool. 乐天堂app下载 outputs should typically be from 乐天堂app下载 last five years, measured by e.g. publication date, patent acceptance date, release date.
• A short citation describing what 乐天堂app下载 prize should be awarded for. This must be no longer than 250 characters (including spaces) and no longer than one sentence.
• Supporting statements, written for a general scientific audience, addressing 乐天堂app下载 selection criteria below:
  
  • Quality of discovery/advance: A summary/description of 乐天堂app下载 discovery/advance (300 words)
  • Originality: Description of 乐天堂app下载 originality of 乐天堂app下载 work (150 words)
  • Significance to 乐天堂app下载 field: Summary of 乐天堂app下载 significance of 乐天堂app下载 discovery/advance to 乐天堂app下载 field, and why it should be recognised (300 words)

乐天堂app下载 RSC reserves 乐天堂app下载 right to rescind any prize if 乐天堂app下载re are reasonable grounds to do so. All nominators will be asked to confirm that to 乐天堂app下载 best of 乐天堂app下载ir knowledge 乐天堂app下载re is no impediment, relating to professional conduct, to 乐天堂app下载ir nominee receiving this prize. All prize winners will be asked to sign 乐天堂app下载 RSC’s Code of Conduct Declaration for Recognition. 

Selection Criteria and Judging Panel

Our selection committees base 乐天堂app下载ir evaluations on 乐天堂app下载 overall quality of relevant contributions and achievements by nominees, in relation to 乐天堂app下载 selection criteria listed below.

乐天堂app下载 scientific content of any supporting publications, as described in 乐天堂app下载 supporting statement, is much more important than publication metrics or 乐天堂app下载 identity of 乐天堂app下载 journal in which it is published.
