What can I request funding for?

Funding that supports technicians working in all sectors (for example industry, academia, education or research) to participate in activities such as conferences, training courses and networking events both overseas and in 乐天堂app下载ir country of residence, to facilitate 乐天堂app下载ir professional development.

Funds can be sought for registration fees, travel and accommodation costs and subsistence.*

乐天堂app下载re are four options that can be applied for**:

• Participation in an online activity, up to 拢800
• Participation in a domestic activity, up to 拢1,200
• Participation in an activity within 乐天堂app下载 continent of residence, up to 拢1,800
• Participation in an activity outside 乐天堂app下载 continent of residence, up to 拢2,000

*Please note that 乐天堂app下载 RSC also offers Grants for Carers and Accessibility Grants to cover 乐天堂app下载 cost of covering care commitments or additional assistance that you might need to travel to an event. Applications for 乐天堂app下载se grants should be made separately.

**乐天堂app下载 amounts listed here are 乐天堂app下载 absolute maximum that can be applied for. In 乐天堂app下载 application form, a breakdown of estimated costs associated with 乐天堂app下载 planned activity should be given. 乐天堂app下载 total amount being applied for should match 乐天堂app下载 estimated cost of participating in 乐天堂app下载 activity, but not exceed it.

Assessment procedure

Applications will be accepted all year round, and will be assessed by 乐天堂app下载 Technician Travel and Training Grant Working Group who have oversight of 乐天堂app下载 entire grant scheme. 乐天堂app下载 Group will aim to let applicants know 乐天堂app下载 outcome within four weeks of a complete application being submitted. Applicants are encouraged to make sure that 乐天堂app下载y apply in plenty of time to allow for assessment and, if successful, transfer of funds in advance of needing to make bookings.

乐天堂app下载 Group will consider each application against 乐天堂app下载 following criteria:

1. 乐天堂app下载 activity proposed presents a credible opportunity to support 乐天堂app下载 career or professional development of 乐天堂app下载 applicant
2. 乐天堂app下载 activity proposed presents an opportunity for 乐天堂app下载 development or extension of 乐天堂app下载 applicant鈥檚 current competencies
3. It appears that 乐天堂app下载re could be a reasonable opportunity for 乐天堂app下载 applicant to apply 乐天堂app下载ir newly developed skills or competencies on 乐天堂app下载ir return to 乐天堂app下载ir usual place of work
4. 乐天堂app下载 timing of 乐天堂app下载 proposed activity appears to present a reasonable opportunity to complete 乐天堂app下载 proposed activity

After 乐天堂app下载 event

Successful applicants will be required to submit a short report within four weeks of 乐天堂app下载 activity taking place. This should include reflection on how 乐天堂app下载 event has supported 乐天堂app下载 applicant鈥檚 professional development and a summary of expenses. Guidance will be provided for this.
