Biography

Andrea Rentmeister is a Professor at 乐天堂app下载 Department of Chemistry of 乐天堂app下载 University of M眉nster. She studied Chemistry at 乐天堂app下载 Technical University of Graz and 乐天堂app下载 University of Bonn, where she earned her PhD in 2007. After a postdoctoral stay at 乐天堂app下载 California Institute of Technology, she started her independent career as a Junior Professor at 乐天堂app下载 University of Hamburg in 2010. In 2013, Andrea was appointed as Associate Professor at 乐天堂app下载 University of M眉nster, and in 2020 promoted to Full Professor.
Research in her lab focuses on RNA at 乐天堂app下载 interface of chemistry and biochemistry and aims to understand and ultimately control 乐天堂app下载 processes affecting mRNA expression and turnover. Andrea has won a number of awards and serves on several advisory and executive boards.
