Prof. Chao-Jun Li is 乐天堂app下载 E. B. Eddy Chair Professor of Chemistry and Canada Research Chair (Tier I) in Green Chemistry at McGill University, Canada. He was elected Fellow of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Canada, Fellow of 乐天堂app下载 World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Fellow of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) (UK), Fellow of 乐天堂app下载 American Association for 乐天堂app下载 Advancement of Science (AAAS), Fellow of 乐天堂app下载 Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) and Fellow of 乐天堂app下载 American Chemical Society (ACS).
He served as 乐天堂app下载 Co-Chair of 乐天堂app下载 Canadian Green Chemistry and Engineering Network, 乐天堂app下载 Director of 乐天堂app下载 CFI Facility for Green Chemistry and Green Chemicals, 乐天堂app下载 Director of NSERC CREATE (Center) for Green Chemistry, and 乐天堂app下载 Co-Director of 乐天堂app下载 FQRNT Center for Green Chemistry and Catalysis (Quebec). Previously, he served as 乐天堂app下载 Associate Editor for Green Chemistry (RSC), 2005-2020.
Dr. Li received a number of prestigious awards including 乐天堂app下载 US National Science Foundation鈥檚 CAREER Award (1997), a United States Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (2001), and 乐天堂app下载 R. U. Lemieux Award (2015), 乐天堂app下载 Alfred Bader Award (2018) and 乐天堂app下载 Catalysis Award (2020) of 乐天堂app下载 Chemical Institute of Canada.
His current research efforts are to develop innovative and fundamentally new chemical reactions that will defy conventional reactivities and possess high 鈥渁tom-efficiency鈥�. Well-known research developed by Dr. Li include a wide range of Grignard-type reactions in water, transition-metal catalysis in air and water, alkyne-aldehyde-amine coupling (A3-coupling), 乐天堂app下载 Cross-Dehydrogenative-Coupling (CDC) reactions, 乐天堂app下载 umpolung of hydrazones as organometallic reagents surrogates, biomass conversions, activation of small molecules (methane, N2, CO2) by GaN and photo-chemistry.
