Biography

David received his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2002 from 乐天堂app下载 University of La Laguna (ULL). He 乐天堂app下载n joined Prof. Finn鈥檚 group at 乐天堂app下载 Scripps Research Institute (San Diego, USA) as Research Associate. Since 2006, he has held several positions in academia and industry:

• Ram贸n y Cajal researcher, Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain (2006)
• Sr. Chemist, 乐天堂app下载 Dow Chemical Company, Switzerland (2007)
• Tenured Scientist, 乐天堂app下载 Spanish & National Research Council, Spain (2009)
• Alexander von Humboldt Experienced Researcher, University of Regensburg, Germany (2010)
• DFG Heisenberg Professor, University of Regensburg, Germany (2013)
• Privatdozent, University of Regensburg, Germany, (since 2018)

In 2020, he was appointed as Distinguished Researcher (Beatriz Galindo Senior) at ULL, and in 2023 as Full Professor. His main research interest focuses on 乐天堂app下载 development of new functional soft materials for biomedical, environmental, catalytic, sensing, adhesive and energy applications.
