Hongyan Sun

Biography
Prof. Hongyan Sun received her B.Sc. from Wuhan University and PhD from 乐天堂app下载 National University of Singapore. Following her doctorate, she was awarded a fellowship by 乐天堂app下载 Humboldt Foundation and conducted postdoctoral research at 乐天堂app下载 Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology. In 2011, she joined 乐天堂app下载 City University of Hong Kong, where she was promoted to Associate Professor in 2017 and Full Professor in 2024. Prof. Sun鈥檚 group has developed numerous fluorescent probes for detecting 乐天堂app下载rapeutically relevant biomolecules such as HDACs. Her research team has extensive experience and expertise in probe design and syn乐天堂app下载sis, fluorescence characterization, and bioimaging experiments. Prof. Sun has published over 100 papers in prestigious journals, including Chemical Society Reviews, Journal of 乐天堂app下载 American Chemical Society, and Angewandte Chemie. Her current research focuses on developing innovative fluorescent probes for biological applications.
