Biography

Javier P茅rez-Ram铆rez, FRSC, is a Full Professor of Catalysis Engineering at ETH Zurich. He studied Chemical Engineering at 乐天堂app下载 University of Alicante and received his PhD degree at 乐天堂app下载 Delft University of Technology. His research pursues 乐天堂app下载 discovery and understanding of catalytic materials and process concepts enabling 乐天堂app下载 transition towards sustainable chemical and energy production.

He is a Highly Cited Researcher in 乐天堂app下载 field of chemistry and his work has been recognized by several awards, most recently 乐天堂app下载 Paul H. Emmett Award in Fundamental Catalysis for 乐天堂app下载 North American Catalysis Society in 2019, 乐天堂app下载 EFCATS Robert K. Grasselli Award for Catalysis in 2021, and 乐天堂app下载 Horizon Prize John Jeyes Award, Royal Society of Chemistry in 2022. He founded and currently directs NCCR Catalysis (), a Swiss Centre of Competence in Research devoted to 乐天堂app下载 development of carbon-neutral chemicals across 乐天堂app下载 whole value chain through catalytic processes.
