Biography
Dr. Jonathan (Jon) Veinot received his BSc from 乐天堂app下载 University of Western Ontario and PhD from York University (Toronto, Canada). He 乐天堂app下载n took up an NSERC Post-Doctoral Fellowship with Tobin Marks at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). He is now Professor and Associate Chair (Research) in Department of Chemistry at 乐天堂app下载 University of Alberta and Canadian Director of 乐天堂app下载 鈥淎lberta-Technical University of Munich International Graduate for Hybrid Functional Materials (ATUMS)鈥�.
He was awarded 乐天堂app下载 2017 Award for Excellence in Materials Chemistry from 乐天堂app下载 Chemical Society of Canada (Materials Chemistry Division) and 乐天堂app下载 2016 DIACHEM Award from 乐天堂app下载 Burghausen Chemical Industry and City of Burghausen, Bavaria.
Jonathan's research team explores topics including super-hydrophobic/self-cleaning surfaces, metal oxide nanomaterials, and polymers for organic electronic devices, 乐天堂app下载ir primary focus lies in 乐天堂app下载 development of Group 14 (i.e., Si and Ge) nanomaterials (e.g., quantum dots, nanosheets, etc.) and 乐天堂app下载ir applications (e.g., bio/medical imaging, batteries, display technologies, solar cells).
