Biography
J枚ns Hilborn is since 2001 乐天堂app下载 head of 乐天堂app下载 Polymer Chemistry program at 乐天堂app下载 Department of Chemistry at Uppsala University in Sweden. He has extensive management experience from life science industry, start-up companies and coordination of European projects. His research interests are in 乐天堂app下载 design, syn乐天堂app下载sis and preparation of polymers and specifically materials for tissue scaffolds and as delivery vehicles. Special focus is on hydrogel matrices that act on endogenous cells to regenerate tissue. His laboratory combines chemistry, biology, engineering with medicine to bring basic research findings from 乐天堂app下载 lab bench to 乐天堂app下载 clinic and commercial applications. He served as president of 鈥淭issue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society鈥� (TERMIS), which he was a part of creating.
