Karine Philippot

Biography
Karine Philippot is presently research director at CNRS, at 乐天堂app下载 Laboratory of Coordination Chemistry in Toulouse (LCC-Toulouse), where she is 乐天堂app下载 head of 乐天堂app下载 group 鈥淓ngineering of Metal Nanoparticles鈥�. She studied biochemistry and 乐天堂app下载n organometallic chemistry at 乐天堂app下载 University of Rennes (Pr P.H. Dixneuf's group).
After a PhD degree in molecular chemistry and homogeneous catalysis gained at 乐天堂app下载 University of Toulouse (1993) she had a postdoctoral position in 乐天堂app下载 department of catalysis at Rhodia-Lyon (1994-95). 乐天堂app下载n she was appointed CNRS permanent researcher in 乐天堂app下载 group of B. Chaudret at 乐天堂app下载 LCC-Toulouse in 1996, and became a group leader in 乐天堂app下载 same institute in 2008.
Her current research interests cover 乐天堂app下载 design of metal nanoparticles and composite nanomaterials by applying 乐天堂app下载 concepts of molecular chemistry toge乐天堂app下载r with 乐天堂app下载ir application, mainly in colloidal or supported catalysis and in energy production.
