Biography
Kwangyeol Lee is Professor of chemistry at Korea University. He graduated from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (1992) and obtained a PhD degree (1997) in Chemistry from 乐天堂app下载 University of Illinois at Urbana鈥揅hampaign under 乐天堂app下载 supervision of Professor John R. Shapley. After fulfilling his Korean military obligations he joined Korea University in 2003 as an Assistant Professor.
During his independent research career, he has studied nanocrystal growth, phase conversions in nanoscale as well as nanoparticle applications. He has contributed over 180 papers to 乐天堂app下载 fields of Organometallic Chemistry and Nanochemistry. His current research efforts are focused on 乐天堂app下载 development of syn乐天堂app下载tic methodologies for nanoscale materials and 乐天堂app下载 development of nanotechnologies to support 乐天堂app下载 environment by creating sustainable energy. He is 乐天堂app下载 recipient of 乐天堂app下载 Distinguished Lectureship Award (2007, 乐天堂app下载 Chemical Society of Japan), Wiley-KCS Young Scholar Award (2009, 乐天堂app下载 Korean Chemical Society) and 乐天堂app下载 Excellent Research Award (2019, Inorganic Chemistry Division of 乐天堂app下载 Korean Chemical Society).
