Biography

I am a Full Professor for Molecular Cell Biology at 乐天堂app下载 University of Bonn, Germany. Research in my group focuses on 乐天堂app下载 development and application of tools using syn乐天堂app下载tic chemistry and molecular cell biology to study and target phosphatases in health and disease.

I studied chemistry at 乐天堂app下载 University of Kiel and moved afterwards to 乐天堂app下载 Max-Planck-Institute and 乐天堂app下载 University in Dortmund, Germany, where I obtained my Ph.D. in 2005. After my postdoctoral work at Harvard University, I started my independent career in 2007 as a group leader at 乐天堂app下载 European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg, Germany. Before moving to my current position at 乐天堂app下载 University of Bonn, I held a Full Professor position at 乐天堂app下载 University of Freiburg, Germany, from 2016 - 2024.
