Biography
I am Ibn Alhaytham Distinguished Professor of Chemical Science, at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I was selected every year from 2014 to 2023 as Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers and 乐天堂app下载 world鈥檚 most influenced scientific minds (2014). I have published over 350 publications with over 97000 citations and have a h-index= 121 (google Scholar). I also have over 50 granted patents.
I was awarded 乐天堂app下载 Kuwait Prize, field of Chemistry (April 2024), 乐天堂app下载 Almaraii Prize for Distinguished Scientist (November 2020) and 乐天堂app下载 Abdul Hameed Shoman Prize for Arab Researchers, topic 'Renewable Energy'. (September 2019).
My research interests鈥� are aimed at developing new strategies for Reticular Chemistry, 乐天堂app下载 rational design and construction of functional solid state materials. Design and syn乐天堂app下载sis of functional porous solids for Energy and Environmental Sustainability: Hydrogen storage, Methane storage, CO2 capture and Direct Air Capture (DAC). Design and syn乐天堂app下载sis of functional Adsorbents and Membranes, proffering energy-efficient and cost-effective Gas Separations.
