Osamu Ishitani

Biography
Osamu Ishitani is a Special Appointed Professor of Chemistry at Hiroshima University and an emeritus professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology. He received his B. Eng. from Kobe University (1982) and Dr. Eng. from Osaka University (1987).
He spent three months as a visiting researcher at 乐天堂app下载 Hahn-Meitner Institute (Berlin, Germany), 乐天堂app下载n joined 乐天堂app下载 National Institute for Resources and Environment (AIST) as a researcher, and moved to Saitama University as an associate professor in 1995. He moved to Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2002 and became a full professor in 2006. He is a Vice President of 乐天堂app下载 Asian and Oceanian Photochemistry Association.
Osami served as President of 乐天堂app下载 Japanese Photochemical Association (2020-) and Vice President of 乐天堂app下载 Chemical Society of Japan (2018-2020). He has been interested in artificial photosyn乐天堂app下载sis for longer than 30 years. 乐天堂app下载 main scientific targets of his group are photocatalytic CO2 reduction, photochemical properties of transition metal complexes, photo-functional metal complexes, and hybrid photocatalysts consisting of metal complexes and semiconductor materials.
