Biography

Dr Rachel Crespo-Otero obtained a PhD in Chemistry through a collaborative programme between 乐天堂app下载 University of Havana and 乐天堂app下载 Autonomous University of Madrid. Following two postdoctoral positions at 乐天堂app下载 Max Planck Institute for Coal Research and 乐天堂app下载 University of Bath, she joined 乐天堂app下载 Chemistry department at Queen Mary University of London as a Lecturer in January 2015 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2019. In May 2023, Rachel moved to 乐天堂app下载 Department of Chemistry at University College London as an Associate Professor.

Her research focuses on developing and applying computational techniques to understand excited states and nonadiabatic processes in organic materials with applications in photochemistry, solid-state lasers, OLEDs, and energy materials. She is particularly interested in combining modelling and experiments to aid 乐天堂app下载 design of efficient materials.
