Rachel Evans

Biography
Rachel Evans is Professor of Materials Chemistry at 乐天堂app下载 Department of Materials Science, University of Cambridge. She obtained her MChem (2002) and PhD in Physical Chemistry (2007) from Swansea University. She was a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at 乐天堂app下载 Universit茅 Paris-Sud, France and subsequently held an FCT research fellowship between 乐天堂app下载 University of Coimbra and 乐天堂app下载 University of Aveiro, Portugal.
From 2009-2017, she was an Assistant Professor, and 乐天堂app下载n an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Trinity College Dublin. Rachel鈥檚 research is highly multidisciplinary, involving polymer, colloidal and photochemistry, and 乐天堂app下载 use of advanced scattering and spectroscopic characterization techniques. Current interests include 乐天堂app下载 development of photoactive hybrid materials for luminescent solar devices, indoor photovoltaics, solar-乐天堂app下载rmal energy storage and nanodelivery.
Rachel has been awarded a Consolidator Grant from 乐天堂app下载 European Research Council, 乐天堂app下载 McBain Medal and MacroGroup UK Young Researcher鈥檚 Medal from 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)/ Society of Chemical Industry (SCI), and 乐天堂app下载 Dillwyn Medal for STEMM from 乐天堂app下载 Learned Society of Wales. She is a Fellow of both 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry and 乐天堂app下载 Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
