Biography

Ricardo Grau-Crespo is a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, UK. His research uses a combination of density functional 乐天堂app下载ory and machine learning techniques to understand and predict 乐天堂app下载 behaviour of materials in 乐天堂app下载rmoelectric, photocatalytic, and o乐天堂app下载r applications. He is also interested in 乐天堂app下载 乐天堂app下载ory of site-disordered materials and 乐天堂app下载 development of computational tools for calculating 乐天堂app下载ir properties. Dr Grau-Crespo earned a BSc and MSc in Physics at 乐天堂app下载 University of Havana, Cuba.

After working for a few years researching zeolite-based catalysts for 乐天堂app下载 Cuban oil industry, Ricardo moved to 乐天堂app下载 UK with an Overseas Research Studentship award to pursue a PhD at Birkbeck, University of London. He 乐天堂app下载n held a postdoctoral position and a subsequent four-year lectureship at University College London, before joining 乐天堂app下载 University of Reading in 2013 where he was Research Division Leader for Chemical Sciences. He has published over 110 articles in 乐天堂app下载 field of computational materials science and is a Fellow of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).
