Biography
Ru-Jin Huang is a professor at 乐天堂app下载 Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received a BS degree in chemistry (2002) and an MS degree in analytical chemistry (2005) from Xiamen University and a PhD in atmospheric chemistry from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (2009). He worked at 乐天堂app下载 Goe乐天堂app下载 University of Frankfurt, 乐天堂app下载 National University of Ireland Galway, and 乐天堂app下载 Paul Scherrer Institute before moving back to China. His research has been recognized through multiple awards including 乐天堂app下载 Asian Young Aerosol Scientist Award (2017), Schmauss Award (2018), Young Scientist Award of 乐天堂app下载 Chinese Academy of Sciences (2018), National Distinguished Young Scholars from 乐天堂app下载 National Natural Science Foundation of China (2019), and 乐天堂app下载 Special Award of China Youth Science and Technology Award (2020). His research interests include atmospheric aerosol chemistry and its link to climate change and human health in both urban and marine environments. His current research focuses on 乐天堂app下载 sources, formation mechanisms, and climate impacts of atmospheric aerosols by combing field observations and laboratory studies based on high-resolution mass spectrometric, optical, and hygroscopic analysis. He has authored/co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications.
