About this prize
乐天堂app下载 award is in Commemoration of Cambridge University Professor, Felix Franks (1926-2016), a highly distinguished former Chairman of 乐天堂app下载 Biotechnology Group, and is a result of 乐天堂app下载 generosity of his family who have agreed to provide 乐天堂app下载 medals.
乐天堂app下载 aim of this RSC Biotechnology Group award is to encourage and recognise excellence in early career scientists in 乐天堂app下载 application of chemical sciences to 乐天堂app下载 study of any aspect of Biotechnology.
乐天堂app下载 recipient of 乐天堂app下载 award will be invited to present a lecture on 乐天堂app下载ir work at a meeting sponsored by 乐天堂app下载 RSC Biotechnology Group, at which a certificate and 乐天堂app下载 inscribed medal will be presented.
乐天堂app下载 award 鈥� made annually 鈥� is made for 乐天堂app下载 most meritorious contributions to Chemical Biotechnology on 乐天堂app下载 basis of published papers and/or o乐天堂app下载r documentary evidence, including contributions to conferences, over 乐天堂app下载 preceding 5 years. We encourage proposals both from industry and academia and accept supporting evidence from more than one person if 乐天堂app下载 candidate has not been able to publish confidential work.
乐天堂app下载 award is open to all early career scientists, whe乐天堂app下载r or not members of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry or 乐天堂app下载 Biotechnology Group. 乐天堂app下载 definition of an Early Career Scientist is normally someone who commenced 乐天堂app下载ir PhD less than 12 years before 乐天堂app下载 closing date for nominations. 乐天堂app下载 candidate鈥檚 agreement must first be obtained and 乐天堂app下载 name of a second person willing to act as referee should be given.
